It’s A Great Day…to Whoop Somebody’s Ass!

By admin | September 3, 2008

Accountability…yea that very, very dirty word in today’s vocabulary. Accountable for one’s own actions, how absurd that concept is. In fact asking someone in today’s society to be accountable for their actions is such a major paradigm shift that you would think it was asking for a nuclear holocaust to come.

At the top of the accountability ladder is leadership. A leader is accountable for everything his people do or fail to do PERIOD. Don’t blame it on your programmer, your supply chain or your installer. As a manager or leader you are responsible for your actions as well as the behavior and performance of your employees (on the job of course).

Uncut and Uncensored

By admin | September 2, 2008

Alright, done pussy footing around about things. I started this blog as a get away from my other online endeavors. It was supposed to be a way that friends and family could stay up to date on the goings on in the Brochin family. I wanted to be myself, to not let my fear of losing potential or current customers, dictate what I do here.

Well it never panned out that way. Today it changes; today we are uncut and uncensored. That doesn’t mean I will be giving my rendition of Andrew “Dice” Clay every time I post, but I am not holding back. I will talk politics, family, life, business, doesn’t matter, whatever turns me on for the day, which means big boobs are not off limits.

House is on the Market

By admin | August 16, 2008

After all the little “honey do’s” around the house, we have it on the market. That makes us one more step closer to Okinawa.

We all are actually starting to look forward to it. The last time I was there was 1992-1993 and things have changed a lot from what I hear.

Kim has been real busy getting the house ready and did most of the work preparing it for sale. Got to love her, she is the work horse of the family.

Gannon is signed up for soccer again and we are just awaiting the phone call to find out what team he is on.

The Funk and Olympics

By admin | August 10, 2008

I have been in a little bit of a funk lately. Not sure why though. However I am out of it and putting my brain back to work. Let some things slide the last week or so because we have been jumping thorugh the hoops to get all the overseas screening stuff done. Hopefully this week will be different and I can get caught up on some of the websites and blogs as well as touch base with some customers.

Okinawa Bound

By admin | August 3, 2008

This week has been crazy. There have been lots of things going on at work and at home.

Anyway, we have orders to Okinawa Japan. The family is really looking forward to it and they may actually make me catch on to their enthusiasm. Have to start getting the house ready for the market as well as dealing with the checklist required to go to Okinawa.

We just registered Gannon for his last season of soccer here in Onslow County. Hopefully it will be a good ending for his Onslow county soccer playing.

Brochin.Net looking for a Re-birth

By admin | July 28, 2008

This weekend we had to take a big step back and look at how to re-position Brochin.net over the next 2-3 years while we operate primarily online. That said, we are making some major renovations so you will see the homepage down for a while, but the blog is still up. With the new overhaul we will be offering several tutorials, e-books, software and scripts for your small business IT and Telecomm needs.

We hope to have Rhino Articles moved into the Web 2.0 world in the next couple of months. Delays in programming have stalled it. However, once finished you will not see but one or two directories online even similar to it.

Hancock, Bulldog and the Parakeets

By admin | July 21, 2008

I took my oldest son to see the movie Hancock this weekend. I am little disappointed. The first part of the movie was ok, but I did not like how they tried to smash Hancock’s past life into the last 20-30 minutes of the movie. I think they could have used it better and kept the history stuff for a follow-on or sequel.

So basically I came away with a Superman meets the Highlander feeling.

Richard Petty Museum and more…

By admin | July 14, 2008

Our trip to Asheboro North Carolina was very enjoyable. The next morning after visiting the zoo we took a quick trip north to Randleman, North Carolina and took in the Richard Petty museum. For racing fans this is a must see. It is a nice little museum containing pictures, trophies, real cars actually used in races and even The King’s personal collection of various memorabilia. It ALMOST had me interested in watching racing again.

North Carolina Zoo and Asheboro,NC

By admin | July 10, 2008

The family is in Asheboro North Carolina for an early weekend. We needed some time alone together as a family. We have had people in and out of the house for almost a month straight and just needed to get away, especially Kim.

Anyway we arrived here this morning and went to the NC Zoo. Amazing Zoo, but you better bring your walking legs as it has over 5 miles worth of trails. You may also want to get there early in the morning and visit the animal you want to see most first thing. As it gets hotter the animals seem to head for shade and it is harder to see them.

4th of July and In-Laws

By admin | July 4, 2008

My in-laws are in town and it is actually enjoyable.

They came in Wednsday. While I worked on Thursday, Herb (father in-law) took Gannon to the beach on base. They broke out the metal detector and walked down the beach. They really didn’t find anything major. However they did find a cross member for a truck. Yea go figure, a cross member for a truck on a beach…hmmm, how did that get there.

Anyway, we went out this morning to do some looking with the detector at a local park then did some fishing, but it was too hot and we came home.
