Made it back from my three day travels. I didn’t have hardly anytime to get out and see many places. We would land, eat lunch, go the our meetings/briefings, then break for dinner then bed. The first night, while in Iwakuni, we ate at an Indian restaurant and the food was good. The next night, in Yongsong South Korea, we ate at a Korean BBQ and the food wasn’t bad at all, especially for the price. After the BBQ we took some time to have a few drinks at a place called Helios. Drank a lot of Guinness, but the curfew is at midnight there, so the night ended early.

Kim and I are looking at taking the boys up to Iwakuni for a long weekend in about a month or two. We want to see some sights and enjoy the culture on the mainland. Then we may just hop on over to South Korea as well and do some shopping in Osan and Seoul.

Kim wanted to go and visit the Futema shrine since it is right down the road. We will posting pictures to our Facebook pages soon. I have included a link to a site that gives more information about the shrine.

We then ate lunch at a Thai/Vietnamese restaurant. Really great food. I was so stuffed it was pathetic. It was a little spicy, but not as spicy as most Thai food I have eaten in the past.

Anyway, Kim went out with some friends last night for a much deserved girls night out. She won two tickets for a movie so we are going to see The Soloist tonight. The Soloist stars Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr. Should be a very good movie if Foxx can duplicate his performance in Ray.

Enough of this update for now. If anyone has a movie suggestion or a suggestion for a place to eat in Okinawa, let me know.
