New Photos over at Facebook

Haven’t updated here in sometime. Mostly because Facebook and Twitter are my main online hangouts these days. Just not sure what I really want to do with this blog or if I even want to maintain it anymore. Anyway, head on over to Facebook and check out the photos.

Uncut and Uncensored

Alright, done pussy footing around about things. I started this blog as a get away from my other online endeavors. It was supposed to be a way that friends and family could stay up to date on the goings on in the Brochin family. I wanted to be myself, to not let my fear of losing potential or current customers, dictate what I do here.

Well it never panned out that way. Today it changes; today we are uncut and uncensored. That doesn’t mean I will be giving my rendition of Andrew “Dice” Clay every time I post, but I am not holding back. I will talk politics, family, life, business, doesn’t matter, whatever turns me on for the day, which means big boobs are not off limits.

Thunderstruck

This week was slow and painful. As most have seen on the news we have had some very tragic things taking place here. In fact the site where the poor girl was buried is about 2 miles up the road from us.

Been to the doc for my back and still getting shots and other crap done to it. Nothing neew there I guess.

Gannon continues to do well in school and band. He will trying out for the school soccer team in about three weeks. I think he is a little excited.

Alan Jackson Gives George Jones His Due

I looked for this video all evening on YouTube and finally found it.

Alan made sure George received his due that the powers that be thought he didn’t deserve. In doing this, Alan gave Country music his modern day version of the Johnny Cash finger.

ENJOY!

I love Thanksgiving for two reasons.

Reason#1: Gives me an opportunity to reflect on all the wonderful things I have in my life; family, friends and a job.

Reason#2: Allows me to eat some of my favorite food; turkey, stuffing, noodles and sweat potatoes.

That being said, since my backissues started a few years ago keeping weight off has been a challenge. After my metabolism slowed, I started realizing that I was actually getting old like the rest of the mortals out there. This typically was not a problem because I am a walking oxymoron in that I am a big guy that likes to run. Now since my back is in shambles I dont run hardly at all and recently under Doctor’s orders “not to, period!”

Back to Work

After one week of vacation and a week at training in Virginia, I finally got back to work today. Of course I love the time off, but playing catch-up at work stinks.

I can honestly say the training in Virginia was well worth it. The database we trained on uses Oracle and Cognos. Fairly smooth running database but Oracle can be very finicky sometimes.

Love Being Home and Fox TV 24

I am really enjoying being home. I love holding my boys and Kim. I love hanging out with them and just doing normal everyday things. Our family event the last two weeks has been to watch the Fox TV Series 24. We are on season 5 right now. Before I left for Iraq Kim bought me season 3-4 to watch while I was there. I think Kim was hesitant at first because she is not into the macho guy action flicks, but she has really been into it.

Late Update From The Brochin House

The Strikers played in the soccer tournament two weekends ago and it was amazing. They were the second seed in their braket. The first seed was the only team that beat them all year that I spoke about in the last post.

They played one game on Saturday and won the game with no problem. Now on SUnday it was a different story. They had to play a semi-final game and about 2 hours later play the championship game if they would win in the semi-final.

The Strikers End the Season With A Bang

Gannon’s soccer team finally found the game they have been waiting for. This was probably the best game I have seen since he began playing soccer a few years ago. It was a 2-1 vicotry for the other team, but it was a hard fought win for them.

The first half was scoreless for both teams. After the half though the other team struck first. contrary to the thoughts on the sideline, that the goal would bring our kids down, our team did not let this happen. The strikers scored within about 1 minute of resuming play. They answered and answered loudly.

The Strikers Are Undefeated

Gannon’s soccer game yesterday was a success, at least for his team. The final score was 6-2.

His team is undefeated and has one game left in regular season. It figures though that the last game would be against the only other undefeated team and it is the same team that beat them 3-1 in a scrimmage game in the pre-season. His team is much better than they where then, but I am sure the other team is as well. They will do fine though.

Talked with my half-sister Emma today. John and her are doing fine as are their kids and grandkids.
