Retired Veterans

When a Veteran leaves the ‘job’ and retires to a another life, many are
jealous, some are pleased, and others, who may have already retired,
wonder if he knows what he is leaving behind, because we already know.

1. We know, for example, that after a lifetime of camaraderie that few
experience, it will remain as a longing for those past times.

2. We know in the Military life there is a fellowship which lasts long
after the uniforms are hung up in the back of the closet.

Don’t Worry About Jesus

…he can take care of himself. I just wish Christmas and christians weren’t so commercial and churches and christians weren’t so fake. If we just worried about doing the little things all would be good. Next time we are in church, look at those fancy big screen TVs, those wild sound systems, the fancy trimmings around your church, and ask yourself, how many families could that feed, how many homeless vets could that get back on their feet.

Received the below from my Sis in-law Sherri. For those that know me, it may look like things we have talked about in the past, but I promise you I did not write this.

Bill Zucker Made the Cut

Yea, people trample down my door to be added to this blog (yea, ok, I’m dreaming again) and Bill Zucker is no exception, actually I am not even sure he even knows how to pronounce my name. If you haven’t heard his music, you better sit down because you may pass out you will laugh so hard.

I actually have chatted back and forth on Twitter a few times with Bill Zucker before I realized he was the guy with the world reknown “Tarp” song.

Anyway, Bill is a riot, enjoy the plugin I added with his music to the side bar of this blog.

Typical day, got up early, talked myself into staying in my non-running rut in the mornings. So I drank coffee, checked Facebook and Twitter. Answered some messages, responded to some friends and followers. I drank some more coffee, watched the “news” and checked e-mail.

Kim and Gavin seen me off to work which was the usual day with ups and downs. Went to see a fitness coordinator this afternoon to see if they can give me some routines to take me out of my rut. Got some good ideas I will implement when I get back from my 3 day trip to Iwakuni on the mainland of Japan and then onto Seoul, South Korea.

Loving Mondays

Spent the better half of Sunday updating some websites and testing some new free anti-spyware. Yea exciting, I know. Just curls your toes doesn’t it?

After getting off from work at around 6pm and eating a wonderful dinner that Kim cooked, I was back at updating some more websites. Yep, my life is that exciting, can you believe it!

Another week down and getting started on the long memorial day weekend. Watched a good playoff game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Orlando Magic last night. Lebron James showed he was definitely the league MVP with the game winning shot right before the buzzer sounded.

Looking at watching Angels and Demons this weekend along with some other movies. Supposed to meet up this weekend with some old friends I was stationed with before and of course I am sure it will involve some beer:)

Playoffs?!?!

Here it is…the playoffs are here, so I thought I would remind all my fellow Colts fans of a time less enjoyable.
