Sitting down right now catching up on messages on Twitter and Facebook. I hope those who have been waiting for some time are not too upset with me. It is not that they are not important, I just haven’t really had the time to spare.
You would think if I had no spare time to answer messages, I would have a great deal to post about, which should be true, but I can’t get my mind wrapped around much this week other than work and family stuff. The websites, other than one, have pretty much been ignored all week.
Gannon had his first soccer game Saturday and the team played well. I think the final score was 10-0. Gannon is playing defensive back and the team plays really fast agile soccer which is characteristic of South American style soccer. Our coach plays the defense up far and in this game Gannon was able to get two shots, but one bounced off the goal posts and the other was stopped. The team plays very well together and with coach Roberto, I know they will only get better.
Gavin is really loving school. Everyday he brings home a picture story from Zukeran that tells what they did that day with pictures of the kids in various activities. I think it is great the teachers do this. He is learning so much now that he is in school and it is funny to hear him start blurting out some of the songs they learn in school.
Kim has been on decorating spree for the house, getting and oriental theme in the house. It looks really nice. I am so glad I have such a wonderful wife that takes care of our home and the family like she does. I think she was sad to see Gavin start pre-school, but I also think she enjoys the short moments alone to gather her sanity
Started doing CrossFit workouts this week and I am still recovering from Thursday’s lunges. I am usually a day behind because my current days workouts are not posted to the Crossfit website until after I go to work. These are butt kicking workouts and glad I started them. Just resting up the rest of today and hit the pistol range tomorrow for annual qualifications.
Well, tha..tha…tha…tha…thats all folks

Been a couple weeks since our last post. Notice the new picture on the header? This was taken at Cape Hedo this weekend. Saturday was a lazy day and Sunday Kim dragged me out of the house in the morning, we ate breakfast at Awase, then hit the Okinawa Expressway to Nago, the highway 58 the rest of the way. Highway 58 was a wonderful drive and had some very nice scenery. It runs along the East China Sea on the west side of Okinawa. I have some photos posted to Facebook and Gannon took some video of the cliffs. I plan to add the video to YouTube later and will link to it from here and Facebook. That was the extent of our visits this weekend. Have a cookout with people from work at Araha beach on Tuesday, so may take some more photos then.
The boys started school this last week and both seem to be enjoying it very much. Gannon received a wake up call his very first day when he had an essay due for AP Literature class the next day. Gan-man stepped up to the plate and knocked it out in no time. He should also be able to get his CompTia A+ certification at the end of this school year from his computer services and support class. His soccer team is still practicing and the coach has been teaching them a great deal and pushing them hard. They had a special practice this Saturday to say goodbye to a teammate who is from Brazil and will be returning to take part in a soccer developmental league. Needless to say, this kid is very good, and the coach himself started playing professionally in Brazil at 14 years old. They have their first game next Saturday 12 September.
Gavin is a big shot now that he is going to pre-school. He loves school and he goes to one for a couple of hours in the morning and another for a couple hours in the afternoon. Developmentally this is supposed to help him. He is a handful for sure and I know his mom enjoys the time alone even though she won’t admit it.
I will be FINALLY taking my half-marathon training seriously as well as starting CrossFit workouts this week. So it will be an early to bed week and less time on Facebook and Twitter.
Thats it for this week.
