The Strikers End the Season With A Bang

Gannon’s soccer team finally found the game they have been waiting for. This was probably the best game I have seen since he began playing soccer a few years ago. It was a 2-1 vicotry for the other team, but it was a hard fought win for them.

The first half was scoreless for both teams. After the half though the other team struck first. contrary to the thoughts on the sideline, that the goal would bring our kids down, our team did not let this happen. The strikers scored within about 1 minute of resuming play. They answered and answered loudly.

The other team finally scored on a blooper that skipped over a couple heads and off the goalies hands into the net. Not much anyone could do. The strikers just ran out of time after that.

The Strikers Are Undefeated

Gannon’s soccer game yesterday was a success, at least for his team. The final score was 6-2.

His team is undefeated and has one game left in regular season. It figures though that the last game would be against the only other undefeated team and it is the same team that beat them 3-1 in a scrimmage game in the pre-season. His team is much better than they where then, but I am sure the other team is as well. They will do fine though.

Talked with my half-sister Emma today. John and her are doing fine as are their kids and grandkids.

We have some kind of screwy bug that is killing our bushes and Kim figured out what it was and I have sprayed them down a couple times now. They are some type of sap sucking varmit that is just sucking the life out of the bushes. The spraying seems to be doing some good and it seems the bugs are dieing or disappearing.

To top it off Joe “not so handyman” Brochin had to replace some weather stripping around the doors, something that should have been done about a year ago when Kim was harping on me about it :) Probably would have saved us about 25 cents on the elctric bill every month.

Well, that is all I have for today. I plan on adding some pictures and video in the near future.

Finally…

After tinkering around with various forms of blogs and trying to get something going to keep family and friends updated, we finally have it.

To bring everyone up to speed, I have been back from Iraq since mid-August.
Please dont be offended if I haven’t contacted you because my focus is on
sending time with family right now. I have also been busy with other endeavors
and working to expand the Brochin.net portfolio of projects, which I will bring
you up to speed on later in this post.

Family Update:

We are getting ready to head out to another of Gannon’s soccer games. His
team is undefeated so far and they have two more games to go in regular season
play. Gannon is getting so big and I am very proud of the what he is
accomplishing in school, all A’s and B’s. He is lighting up the saxaphone and
getting better everyday. He is really enjoying playing the saxaphone and is
playing songs like the Adams family, We Will Rock You, and a few others.

Gavin is full of energy and is constantly on the move. Right now Kim has him
down taking a nap so he can recharge those energizer bunny batteries he has. He
is talking up a storm and one of the things he does that makes me laugh s that
when he does something to get in trouble he says “I funny”. He is rough and
tumble and takes some crashes that would make me wimper, but he doesn’t et out a
peep.

Kim as always is the rock of the family. The constant variable that keeps
everything steady around here. She has put down the cigarettes once again and I
hope this time for good.

Work:

All I can say is  have a little over 3 years before retirement and thinking about it everyday.

Business:

Well, I of course have Brochin.net, which is the launching paid from which I do everything. From Brochin.net I have launched the following sites:

Rhino Article Directory

Computer Training Know How

Business Technology Management Directory

Satellite Communications

Recently I worked on the following site motokophilpott.com for a local realtor. I am also currently working with a friend who is out of the Marine Corps in helping him and his partner develop their web presence.

I also have another membership site in the works that will hopefully be coming out this fall, but due to set backs it may actually go next spring.

Well anyway, I hope everyone is doing fine and feel free to visit my new MySpace page. I have a blog there as well in which I typicaly rant about sports.
